Had an offer from John Pierce who has written a mini musical called "Carmantoo". Might add this to Holly's "Bunga Bunga" as a double-bill next summer. I am researching material for "After The Wave" - it's going to take me more than a year, so aiming for 2013 with that one. Continue reading ...

Now the dust has settled
Posted by Darren Askroft on Sunday, September 5, 2010,
I guess the idea of a blog is that you keep it updated regularly but, as usual, I haven't. Well it's all done and dusted. I went to Martock and Glastonbury yesterday to see Donk and show him the songs from the show. He was very impressed. I now have nine new songs of his to use for the next one and I'm planning to go back to Martock during half term to record some more. Working title for next show? "You Are My Fair!" The end of the beginning
Posted by Darren Askroft on Sunday, September 20, 2009,

Circling in on the end
Posted by Darren Askroft on Wednesday, July 15, 2009,
It's got to the point where I am approaching the end of the writing stage of this project. Each time I return to the script, which is more frequently now I am off with a poorly foot, I am finding ways to tweak various scenes to make them more entertaining or easier to perform. Deadline is the end of the summer hols for total completion. Continue reading ...

Well the first draft is done and already I have begun the best part of writing something ... the development. Some of the songs have been moved to different scenes.
